Transportation and Dismissal
It is very important that we know how your student will be getting home from school each day. For the safety of your child, If there should be a change of plan in your student’s transportation routine we must have that information in writing! Please send a note to school with your child describing how he/she will be getting home. Otherwise, we will be sending your child home according to his/her normal routine. We will release
students from our outside doors with the exception of extended day, bus and daycare students.
Testing
This is the first year our students begin standardized testing. Third grade is a huge year in the lives of children. They switch from learning to read, to reading for meaning. This year because of the new additions to the Reading Sufficiency Act, if a child scores unsatisfactory on the reading OCCT (Oklahoma Core Curriculum Test) he/she can be retained unless he/she qualifies for a "good cause exemption".
